Position Overview

Maintain inventory accuracy, minimize inventory loss, and safeguard company assets by conducting daily inventory counts, implementing loss prevention procedures, and reconciliation through adjustments.  Provide a detailed analysis of why the inventory variances occurred and the required corrective guidance to prevent further inventory variances.  Act as a conduit of information regarding inventory issues and trends between the warehouse, Operations Manager, & Purchasing team.

 Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other than the general responsibilities, this level includes the following and other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Schedule: Monday Through Friday 7am - 3:30 pm

Pay Rate: $20 - $22.50/hr  Depending on Experience

Responsibilities Include    

 
  • Coordinate and conduct daily cycle counts as prescribed by ERP.
  • Audits and investigates sources of known losses.
  • Monitors inventory to identify theft or shortages.
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements systems to minimize loss of inventory.
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies as outlined in the policies and procedures.
  • Provide daily justification sheet to manager on variances with dollar amounts as specified prior to posting the cycle count.
  • Communicates and develops process enhancements as needed; performs root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommends process improvements to eliminate future variances.
  • Work with key personnel to effectively implement process improvements to operational procedures in an effort to proactively optimize overall location and item level accuracy and maintain the highest possible productivity levels.
  • Researches, suggests, and implements additional security measures.
  • Conducts periodic testing of video surveillance systems.
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures to prevent theft at point of sale or inventory storage areas.
  • Performs additional responsibilities when required.
The ideal candidate will have   

-         Prior experience in inventory control in a distribution setting.
-         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-         Detailed oriented and organized.
-         Ability to multi-task.
-         Basic Mathematical skills.
-         Excellent attention to detail.
-         High School Diploma or equivalent.
-         Must be able to operate equipment: Forklift, Order Picker (Training Provided).
